RDA Hunter is excited to continue its partnership with Port Waratah Coal Services with the delivery of Port Waratah Coal Services Portside Primary School Project to 10 primary schools in Newcastle.

The project aims to engage primary schools in Portside suburbs of Newcastle to promote the history, sustainability and growth of the Port through problem-based learning and hands-on STEM activities.

The project is delivered to students in Year 5 & 6 and through the STEM activities and learnings students will learn how this is put into practice at Port Waratah.

“RDA Hunter is excited to work with Port Waratah Coal Services again with the delivery of the Portside Primary School Project after the successful completion of the project with Carrington & Stockton Public Schools in 2019. We’re looking forward to expanding the project to 10 Portside primary schools”, Mr Evans said.

Port Waratah Coal Services supports this initiative via the Community Investment and Partnership Program which delivers $750,000 to the local community each year.
